About your trainer... I live in Effingham, NH with my two sons, 3 dogs, 2 cats and my very tolerant and supportive husband! I have had dogs all my life, mostly mixed breeds, but they were always smart dogs, and I often taught them tricks just for fun. I began training seriously when my Yellow Labrador, Chelsea, joined the family in 1997. She was a very smart puppy and needed her intelligence and energy properly channelled!
I attended my first Clicker Training seminar when she was 3 months old. Although I was hooked from then on, I had a very hard time finding classes available which mirrored the methods I wished to follow...those of that famous marine mammal trainer, Karen Pryor. I learned a lot in the next couple of years, and realized that I would no longer settle for less with my dogs training!
Since then, I have attended classes, seminars and camps with some famous New England trainers. I now offer classes in the Greater Ossipee area and hope to share with others what I have learned. My commitment to train my own dogs in a kinder manner brought me here, and I hope that you find Clicker Training a nice alternative!
